Food, pocket money, utilities, books, transport and other miscellaneous costs are excluded and paid by you. The liaison fee of 14,000 RMB is refundable only where the Chinese Embassy declines your visa. It is otherwise non-refundable and non-transferable. The 2,000 RMB admission fee sits outside the first-year package and is not refundable in any circumstance once applied.
HSK-4 inside the first academic year is the condition for entering the medicine programme. If you do not pass, you do not start medicine, so weigh this against universities with longer language runways.
The 14,000 RMB liaison fee is a significant addition to the headline package. Include it in your budget from the start.
